A traditional mango orchard carries 40–70 trees an acre. An ultra-high-density (UHDP) orchard carries 250 or more. That single change ripples through every number that matters.
How it works
UHDP uses grafted dwarf-canopy trees planted close together, kept compact by precise pruning and fed through drip fertigation. Every tree gets light, water and nutrition exactly when it needs them.
Why it pays
- Earlier commercial bearing — often from year four.
- Far higher yield per acre once mature.
- Lower water use per kilo of fruit, thanks to drip.
- Easier hand-harvesting from a compact canopy.
